Not everything I make tastes good

So I thought it would be great to take the ribs from my Christmas prime rib and cook them overnight. Which I did in a crock-pot. They meat slid off the bone. Looked great. Today I took the rib-meat and cooked it in a pan added some eggs and cheese, top with guacamole. Worst tasting rib meat ever, I couldn’t finish it. Just had such a foul taste, I guess I never really realized how these ribs tasted without a bunch of BBQ sauce on them!

I would be more likely to blame the crockpot. I have a love-hate relationship with the thing!

It could be the dry ageing.

Definitely better if smoked or seasoned & braised.

  1. add salt
  2. add butter
  3. taste, if not good go back to step 1.
