Delicious!
Super flexible and forgiving recipe:
Couple spoons each of toasted finely chopped coconut and toasted pecans. Toasting and nut choice up to you. I don’t care for the coconut untoasted in this dish, nor big flappy pieces. YMMV.
Toss in small sauce pan or microwaveable bowl depending on how you like to cook.
Add a couple spoons almond meal and equal amount of chia seeds. Add about 1/2 cup water, tea, coconut milk or whatever suits your fancy. For this one I used fresh ginger turmeric tea.
While you bring that to a simmer - don’t boil - freshly grind 2 to 3 spoons flax seed to a coarse meal. Don’t pulverise. Toss into simmering porridge and turn off heat. Stir enthusiastically for about a minute. If it seems too thick, add liquid. Stir in some HWC if yer into that. Cinnamon and other stuff too if you like.
Pour into bowl. You may want to wait a few minutes while it thickens. Or not. I just topped with an assload of butter and a couple twists of fresh ground cinnamon. YUM.
