Hi all,
I’m without a stove and oven for another week. What are your favorite slow cooker, griddle, sous vide, and/or air fryer recipes?
Thanks,
Lauren
Hi all,

Sous vide: Short ribs, finished on the griddle. 132x72hours.
Slow cooker: I stopped using mine.
Griddle: bacon, eggs, finishing surface for anything that comes out of the souser.
Air Fryer: Got one, traded it in for an Instant Pot. Probably chicken wings, which I would pre cook sous vide something like 140x4, maybe 155x3… Then shock, chill, and process in airfryer for finish.
Slow cookers can do anything! I’ve got a recipe book right in front of me and while I haven’t tried them yet I plan on doing it soon.
Slow cooker hard boiled eggs: put eggs in slow cooker, cover with cold water, turn on low for 8 hours (however it says it will discolor egg white to a beige)
Slow cooker curried mixed nuts: 1/4 cup oil, 3TBL melted butter, 1.5 tsp ground ginger, 1.5tsp curry powder, 1tsp cayenne, 1tsp kosher salt, .25 tsp sugar substitute, 10oz almonds, 8oz cashews, 8oz pecans- mix then put in crockpot on low for 2.5hours
These really stood out to me because they show that the slow cooker Ian so versatile!
When you make things side by side in a P-cooker and an S-cooker/Crock pot, you can see the problems with long, open cooking.
Pressure cookers make better hard boiled eggs faster.

As you can make candied nuts in the P-cooker in about 15 minutes, I’m going to suggest that the P-cooker will do them better.
NOT KETO, but same theory: https://www.idonthavetimeforthat.com/instant-pot-candied-nuts/
People make good things in crock pots. I know, I used to be one. The set and walk away from a day is great. P-cookers just do it better.
