No longer comatose!

#1

I’m on day 4 now of strict keto. Up until this morning, I was so tired that I was falling asleep multiple times throughout the day. And not just any sleep. “I-just-ran-a-marathon-and-got-hit-by-a-truck” kind of sleep. This kind of comatose sleep happens when my blood sugar drops. I hung in there. Ate more fat. Drank litres and litres of lemon water.

And OMG the headaches. Icepick through my forehead, kill me now headaches.

Along with insatiable hunger. I could not eat enough and had to cut it off at some point and just accept that I was still hungry.

But this morning. Oh, this morning was different!

I feel a lot more awake and have more energy. I ate a reasonable breakfast (hello bacon grease) and I’m completely full. I think I’m getting fat adapted. Yayyyy!!!

Now for those 25 lbs.

Glad you’re feeling so much better, it’s great isn’t it? Been keto for 5 weeks now, and realize that carbs were not only making me fat they were making me sleepy. Still waiting on the energy…thinking that I have so much to lose (100+ lbs) that it will come with time. Down 13 pounds already, keto is so encouraging.
