Newbie question about lack of appetite

(Fraser Bonnett) #1

I’m on day four. Very low carbs 2-3g per day, I’ve been drinking plenty of water to the point where if I don’t drink some in an hour I’m thirsty, Some chicken bouillon for sodium. Energy is fine, I don’t feel bad, but yesterday I was not hungry. I ate some, but today I woke up with zero appetite. Had some coffee with heavy cream, but I have no desire to eat.

Is this unusual? Should I just eat when I’m hungry at some point, or should I force feed myself!?

Thanks for any advice.

I’m just not hungry anymore

It took me longer to get there but basically the lack of hunger is the Hallmark of the keto diet. It means your body is able to get energy from your body fat. Don’t eat if you aren’t hungry. Trust your body to tell you we you need energy.

Hardly unusual and means your body is considering the fat, and adjusting healthily.

Well … good news then. I do seem to have a lot of energy, this thing must be working :+1:

If you’re not hungry, don’t eat! It’s a good thing!
