I’ve been trying creatine for about 6weeks, haven’t noticed any benefits tbh, so probably won’t buy any more .

Has anyone of you experienced edema on one foot (ankle area) when you went into the keto diet? Recently I noticed that my left ankle is a bit swollen, and it’s a bit bigger than my right ankle. I’m a bit concerned about this matter . Any comment will be appreciated, thanks.:grinning:

You can get unilateral swelling from a difference in the veins in each leg. If there is pain involved, e.g. deep muscle pain, it is worth investigating for a blood clot.

I get uneven ankles sometimes due to fluctuations in venous and lymphatic drainage based on changes in my heart.

Swelling can also occur if you have a specific postural sitting pattern, like a preferred bent leg, that may affect blood flow. Especially if you sit or long time periods, e.g. doing computer work.

That depends. I actually use protein smoothies in my Keto as my main source of extra protein, because I can get 50+gr of protein in one smoothie. I use Orgain protein powder which adds about 20 gr of carbs, goat whey protein, an avocado, creatine, collagen all in a base of hemp milk. But, I still manage to achieve ketosis with 1 of these smoothies per day. One is after my evening work out, and another is for lunch on my recovery day. The main sweetener is stevia. If I use chocolate Orgain - typically after my workout - I typically also add a scoop of cacao powder. I am usually at or above 50 gr of carbs.
