Hi all! I’ve been reading through all the posts and have gleaned so much knowledge. Thank you!
Here’s where I am right now. One week into a “dry January” and Keto. The first four days were HELL. First with the cravings and then the “Keto Flu”. I very nearly gave up. I’m on day seven now and feel amazing! I’ve lost 4 pounds, which may seem like a lot, but I hear that’s normal because you lose water weight when you cut the carbs. And I was a carb addict! I’m at the gym three times a week…30 minutes on the treadmill working on Couch to 5K, and yoga or PowerUp. I’m 48 and looking to lose 15 pounds.
Also, my mood is so much better! I was having anxiety attacks during Nov and Dec which were probably a combo of drinking, bad eating habits and lack of exercise. So I’ve been able to cut the Xanax.
Some things that surprised me:
-I am sweating a lot more than usual. And especially night sweats! They’ve gone away for the most part now.
-I am not as hungry as I used to be. I thought the cravings would be out of control. Not at all! I feel like the shackles have been taken off!
-Higher energy which is sustained throughout the day.
So far, so good!
