Newb question... IF or BulletProof coffee? Breakfast

(Straight outta ‘Straya’) #1

I’ve been IF for around a month, typically it’s breakfast. 1/ I never really developed the habit of eating it and /2 it’s just easier to stop eating at 8 and start eating midday the next day.

I’m finding it hard to get to ketosis (but made some break thrus in the last 2 days) and heard the BPC has all sorts of benefits for those trying to get there and also appetite suppressant would be nice (bloody hungry early morning).

Which is the option that’s gonna give the most benefit ?

I wouldn’t force fasting. Enjoy the BPC, or even the bacon and eggs for breakfast. Once you’re fat adapted which can take a couple months. IF will come very easy without hunger, and generally just naturally because of lack of hunger.

If your goal is to keep insulin down both with achieve that. I found I really benefited from BPC psychologically and for hunger control but as time went on and I got better at fasting I didn’t need it.

Tried BPC today… was expecting ‘more’ from the experience based on what other people had posted on the internets.

No worries, this whole experience is a marathon not a sprint.

The real benefit of no hunger comes once you’re adapted properly. Until then your body doesn’t know what to do with the fat as it’s not been trained to burn it as fuel.

IMHO a BPC is a keto superfood.

In other words it’s a marketing success that doesn’t really add anything to your life but it sells product for the supplier. There’s no need to have a bucketful of fat early in the morning in order to make it to lunchtime, any more than a bowl of cereal was ever really necessary.

I’d stick with the IF.
