I have started 2 weeks ago and using the KetoDiet app to log all my food. I have seen where people are fasting. When should I start to fast?? And what is the best fasting schedule for someone just starting?? Thanks In Advance

When you are fat adapted. Many people start their fast “by accident”. It starts when you aren’t hungry in the morning. Then it goes from there. Give it time, let your body get fat adapted first.

+1 When keto adapted.

When fasting is easy, start fasting.

You can start by simply cutting out all snacks and then just start skipping breakfast on some days. Try to consuming your food in a smaller time window during the day so that you have a longer period of time each day for your insulin levels to be low.

If the fasting is not easy, just eat. I am now eating five days a week with nothing but coffee, tea, salt and vitamins on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This is the most convenient schedule for Mrs. Hanson. It feels great and is giving my body to chance to improve insulin sensitivity.

Search online for Dr. Jason Fung. He is one of the great resource for fasting information.

Best Regards,
Richard

I’ve been eating keto for at least six months and have yet to start fasting.

Guess I’m . . . slow . . . at fasting.

I always use the example of the mistake that the medical community made with newborn feeds. For decades, we went around telling mothers that their breast milk was bad for the baby and that they SHOULD only use formula.ooops!
We ruined the health and outcome of millions of people because unknowingly our practice was.getting impacted by formula companies. Now, it’s the same with drug companies. The largest portion of pharmaceutical Profits is in treatment of non-communicable diseases including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia. I’m not saying that doctors or drug companies r bad people. But there is a definite conflict of interest that we have have not.started to acknowledge yet. We will get there, but in the meantime I would like to regain me and my family’s health.
