I have been keto for about 5 months. I can easily go 16-18 hours without eating before I feel hungry. Recently I did a 24 hour fast, then had an eating day and another fast that lasted 26 hours. I could probably go longer if I keep myself busy and not have to prepare meals for the family… Anyhow, I tested my ketones this morning after fasted for 16 hrs and was 1.0 blood ketones. Ate dinner at 5:30 which was sirloin steak bites with mushrooms, bacon and homemade brown butter bernaise sauce. Cesar salad, and desert was white chocolate mouse made from heavy cream, erithritol, cream cheese and cocoa butter. Tested ketones after having plain club soda (no sugar or carbs) 2.5hrs after eating. I was at 0.2 blood ketones!! Too much protein?? Where did I go wrong? Feeling discouraged and slightly frustrated.

If would suspect these two ingredients before your protein. Some people handle artificial sweeteners better than others and the same goes for soft cheeses, which are higher in carbs than hard cheeses.
I would not worry too much about this, I’d just keep fasting/eating as you have been. We do go in and out of ketosis all the time.
