New Nut Butter!

#1

BOOM! Looking forward to ending my fast and trying some of this beauty!

#2

It looks fabulous, but I looked the company up to find out the price and was totally :open_mouth:
That jar has 11 servings. It’s $15.00!

Maybe someone will give me a jar for birthday/holiday. Otherwise will have to make my own. Too bad. If the price was more reasonable, I would have gotten some.
Not to knock the product or anything, I’m sure it’s wonderful, but it’s sadly outside my budget.

Yeahhhhh forgot to mention that. I may or may not have purchased this 48 hours into a fast lmao! But I only use 1 tbsp servings of nut butters and not every day, so it won’t be a regular thing. Also I’m obsessed with pecans so this was really exciting for me. But yeah whatever possessed me to spend$15 on nut butter is definitely a con to fasting!.

I have the same reaction you had to all the keto bread/tortilla products… I’m like really no way I’m spending that much on bread. But then again I quit bread products long before I knew about keto so I’m already weaned…

I buy pecans in bulk, roast them for ten minutes and drop them into a food processor - makes excellent nut butters.

#6

Do you order online or do you have a local bulk nut store? I’ve been looking for the best deal and haven’t settled yet. If I could live on pecans I surely would

#7

I’ve found pecans at Walmart and also Amazon, for about $10 per pound.

I’ve been thinking about making pecan butter with a package of Trader Joe’s dry roasted pecan pieces. Easy in my Ninja. Now I really have to try this!

#9

I loooove pecans. This looks so good!

#10

I occasionally spend more than I would typically be comfortable with on special keto treats. To me it’s worth it if they keep keto appealing to me and help me keto on. I also consider that I am saving a lot of money on food since I regularly IF and EF and eat OMAD on days I eat, so where better to put my $ than good keto food/resources.

I’ve been getting pecans at Sam’s Club for a long time. It’s $15 for a 2lb bag. Went to grab some last week and they where out! :sob: The next bag I get I’ll have to drag out the food processor and try some butter.

Exactly!!!:+1:

Trader Joe’s has cheap nut butters (cheap in price, not in quality). I got some sunflower seed butter there for like $3.99 and it’s amazing.
