New me - energized after exercise (Old me was tired/lethargic)

Hello Keto Peeps,

I am happy to report that exercising now days leaves me energized! :muscle:t4:

Back in the day, I recall feeling like I needed a nap after a workout/exercise. :roll_eyes: I have practiced keto + IF for more than a year and I started exercising HIIT 5-days a week a month ago. I noticed the difference on the first day and the feeling has been consistent, for which I am profoundly grateful.

What are your thoughts on why this may be the case?

I think it’s mainly access to body fat and also your blood sugar doesn’t get affected as much. Mine often goes up during/after exercise for instance.

Bob has called it. I believe it was Timothy Olsen, a fat-adpted endurance athlete, who won a 100-mile iron man race and celebrated by running a marathon the next day (I don’t remember whether he won the marathon or not).

Zach Bitter just set a record for the 100 mile run (on a track), under 7 minutes per mile (holy crapoli!), using low carb. He does eat some carbs, but he’s mainly carnivore.
