I watched a few of Dr. Berg’s videos today out of curiosity. It think he has a very nice way of explaining things to laypeople. Great teaching skills. The more I hear about insulin resistance the better. Thanks for recommending.
Net carbs :)
I wasn’t trying to besmirch the good doctor. I was merely commenting on my impression. But, I think I may have been commenting on the wrong Dr Berg. They guy in those videos linked above looks to be mid thirties. The guy that’s been sending me emails, trying to get me to buy his stuff is a guy in his 60’s at least. Grey thinning hair, looks like a shiester (sp?). (Funny, no iPhone autocorrect faux Paul, until now🙄)
So I watched several of his videos. I have heard about cinnamon being a thing for diabetes. But it’s always seemed to be on the fringe, with no data. So I’ve been disregarding it. And now I see several peeps here, @Dipper_Actual for one, talking about ACV. Acidic Acid. I always knew it was vinegar. But not apple cider vinegar. I used to use it in BW photography when developing film. It halts the chemical process. The containers we used had to be diluted because it was 100% strength. I believe we needed 18%. The food variety is something like 7%. That stuff at 100% was no joke. We would show new guys how strong it was by dropping a hair into a jar of it. The hair would vanish before hitting the bottom of a 4 inches deep jar.
So looks like im adding a few items to my next grocery list. It definitely sounds like I’ve been a bit alky (not alchy).
It’s crazy all its benefits. And for a few bucks a gallon, it sure beats metformin. I was hooked after reading Dr Fung’s post on it.
