We have a bike ride in Iowa called RAGBRAI. We ride across the state all week and stay in a different town each night. This is my 20th year riding… mileage is 45 to 100 a day (depending on the route). It is hot, humid, windy and NO… Iowa is not flat.
My non-scale victory is that I kicked butt this week. Seriously. In the 20 years of riding food, exhaustion, sore muscles were a way of the ride. You just power through. Not this time. Keto for nearly 2 years and I am convinced that is the difference.
My weight loss is less than stellar but I stay on. It is events like this in my life that remind me healthy doesn’t always show up on everyone the same.
I totally Kicked Butt.
