My new journey to a healthier life (and a sexy body)

Good morning. I started KETO on 2/14/19. It was ironic. I had made a meal plan of foods that I ate when I was with my parents growing up. The next day I remembered my niece telling me about the KETO diet. I looked it up. SO IRONIC!!! Most of the foods I entered were on the KETO diet. Hamburger patty with a side of greens, Pork chop with side of greens. It got me excited. I have been doing pretty good. I haven’t purchased any hamburger yet and I am craving a hamburger patty so bad. I finally baked some asparagus last night for the first time and it was so good. I am just so happy that I found this forum. I actually found it by googleing vision improvement. II had an eye exam in January. My close up vision improved (prior to starting KETO) However, I can’t wear my glasses to see far away as well. I have to for driving, even that is not good.

A couple of weeks after being diagnosed with diabetes my vision improved dramatically. My long distance vision anyway. I no longer needed glasses to see across the room clearly. Better than 20/20. I looked out the window, and objects 1/2 a mile away were crisp and clear. I swear i could see the individual pine needles on the trees.

My near vision however went completely opposite. I couldn’t read. My glasses were of small help, but just barely.

The best i could figure out is that this had something to do with sudden sugar loss from the blood. Perhaps excess sugar in the eyes, or the sudden release of pressure from sugar, forced the lens or focal point into a good alignment for far distance.

It lasted about 2 weeks and then went right back where it was normally. The entire episode was before i started eating keto.

As far as i can tell, Keto hasnt helped or hendered my vision. Except possibly my night vision is a little better, or possibly my eyes adjust quicker to low light now.
