I posted this somewhere but can’t find it. I was in VN and have bad lungs from AO and have been taking prednisone 20mm pd, and now have diabetes A1C @8.4 VA dr wanted me to go on low carb to get the A1C down. They put me on diabetes pill but I would not take them as I was sure low carb would do the trick as I have been on low carb 3 yrs ago and it went down. Started1/3/19 and was tested again 3/3. I was A1C 8.4 and dropped to 7.0. The dr was amazed how low and fast I dropped. So they will retest me in June as he wanted me to stay on the low carbs. I go from 20 to lower carbs pd. Dropped about 12 lbs and will get back on the scale 4/18 which will be 1 month to see if I dropped more. Near is more good news. Prednisone @20mm down to 5mm, no more blood pressure meds (now 1 wk) check 2 to 4 times a day and it’s great, no more acid reflex pills, ove 3 months. I’m in pant size from 40 to 38. My wife went on keto when I did and she as of this am dropped 20 lbs 136 to 116. She is now a believer.

Nice job. Health problems can really bring perspective to our eating habits. Happy for you and your wife.

All great news, especially the part about your doc being a supportive resource. Keep up the great work, both of you and welcome!
