Hello - This past weekend was my first big social event where they were serving up tons of carbage and drinks. Up until now, I swore off alcohol and anything sweet as I started my keto journey.
Happy to say that NONE of the food at my table appealed to me whatsoever. There was pizza, breaded wings, cookies, cakes, tons of sweets. I wasn’t tempted by any of it!! I look at it now like it’s cancer on a plate. I brought deviled eggs, cheese and olives to the party and kept just eating those things.
I did drink wine, and got super sick the next day. Like immobilized and feeling like death warmed over (like many others have reported after having alcohol), I’m sure I got kicked out of ketosis, but I still not craving any carbage, and that’s what I was afraid of if I had alcohol again.
So, back on the horse (yesterday) and will try to get back in ketosis by Wednesday. I am gearing up for an extended day fast later this month. Can’t wait!
