My brain feels starved without eggs

#1

no matter what I eat to replace them for protein I feel like my brain is starving if I don’t eat at least 1 egg every day. Why is this? Unfortunately I had to cut them out after getting food poisoning from eggs at my local farm. It is extremely. hot here and I think the eggs were going bad somehow. I’ve had a bad reaction to all eggs since digestive wise but yet I feel starved without them like my brain is not getting the nutrients it needs. Im hoping this reaction is temporary.

I never heard about anything like this. Super odd as eggs don’t have anything we couldn’t get from elsewhere… But maybe you didn’t replace it well enough for your seemingly sensitive body? Eggs have so many nutrients, nearly all essential ones (a single egg isn’t much though), maybe something is missing now…? No idea, maybe others will have some…
Do you eat meat instead of eggs? Normally that should work just fine…
Strange.

I wish you luck, to figure it out or the problem should just pass…

Don’t think I go a day without eating them. Usually between 3 and 5 a day.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #4

Some people are simply allergic to eggs. What is the reaction you are having?

As far as infections go, if you can tolerate hard-boiled eggs, cleaning them thoroughly before boiling, and boiling long enough to hard-boil them will kill the Salmonella bacteria that are usually the problem. The point is that the bacteria can’t get to the inside of the egg if the egg is essentially sterilised by boiling.

I used to detest hard-boiled eggs, but I find that I quite enjoy them with lots of butter, or if they are deviled.

Sooooo, buy them from somewhere else? Sounds like you’re placebo’ing yourself because of what happened. What does it being hot there have to do with it? Are they leaving them out in the heat or something? If so, ya, they’re gonna go bad.

I hope that never happens to me. My girls never sit them long enough to go bad unless I’m letting them hatch out some.

I just want to throw up after eating them. But they look good to me and my body wants them :frowning: The farm eggs were agreeing with me up until the summer time when I think they started going bad and I got a bad case of food poisoning. I’m trying other brands and to reintroduce eggs bit by bit.

I tried an egg again today. This was a very different kind of egg. it’s grain free and the chickens eat vegetables, beef scraps and liver. Not sure how I felt about the taste. I still got bloated and had brain fog. I didn’t have as much nausea though. I would be interested in what others think of these type of eggs if they ever try them.
