Mr Porky Crispy Strips - Pork Scratching/Rinds

(Rob) #1

I found these at my local Morrisons the other day. They are basically pork scratchings but without the fatty bit on them, they are not particularly strongly flavoured either, so should be good to whizz up in the blender for a crumb coating. i’ve not tried that yet as the kids got hold of them and they were all gone in a flash!

hard to read label, but they look good to me, just make sure no sugar is added.

I thought they were horrible to eat. really dry… but for a breading they’d be perfect I reckon…

Carbs per 20g serving = 0.1g

Great idea to use them as a coating! I ate a packet the other day but they’re not a patch on the ‘crackles’ by the same brand. Might have to try that coating idea…
