Military Struggles

(John Milan) #1

Anyone else in an American military branch using BMI standards every six months for weigh ins? I’ve been in 15 years and have been fighting my weight tooth and nail…when people ask me how much longer I have left, I say 10 more weigh ins. My best friend in life started the path to the Keto lifestyle about 2 months before me, and I was convinced just off of his progress and rapidly improving lexicon of body stuff…you know, science. Long story long, this may be the first weigh in coming up in April that I won’t be sweating bullets, dieting horrendously and calorie restricting the you know what out of myself. I’m only 5 weeks in and though I never really cooked for myself, I was more of a bachelor sandwich and take out junkie, I love being in the kitchen screwing things up with my new GoT Dinner is Coming apron. So maybe this shoulda ended up in a different thread, but I’m kinda typing out loud if you catch my drift. My question if I get to the point, do your Military doctors know you are keto, care about your numbers, support any requests for additional blood work or out of left field test requests…? Its a lot, I get it, just wondering who’s out there maybe in a similar boat.
