Yeehaw!

I’m new here, reading all the old threads. Great information all over the board.

I’m a keto veteran, now starting over after some health issues got me distracted.

I might even add that docs managed to scare me a bit with the fat/calorie propaganda, that is surprising but true. I have known better for decades but still… it sort of happened that I fell into the “official diet” -trap. Docs said I would die if I eat eggs, meat, butter.

So I gained 30 kilos, a bag full of heart and CV medications… More and more meds…

I then took a look at myself and thought “no friggin’ way,I don’t want to be a sick potatoe sack”!

I’m back now. Trying to get my size and some of my health back, looks and feels good for now.

Here’s my lunch. Next, going for a walk.

Greetings from a forest walk!

I took some carrots for the hare.

Considering they are very traditional, nutritious items, it would take some extreme condition. Like being allergic to eggs or something (is that allergy or just sensitivity? I don’t even understand how that can happen but humans have all kinds of weird conditions).

At this point I would be hard-pressed to imagine a diet devoid of eggs, meat and butter… And I had that at some point in my life (I was a vegetarian for reasons and suddenly felt eggs bad smelling so stopped eating them for 1-2 years. no idea how I survived that but I had most of the edible items left so it’s not actually a miracle…).

I have photos! The year started cold but beautiful here.
Rime, rime everywhere! In the wildlife park…

And in front of our house. There are 2 silver birches, 3 not-pines (I don’t need to care about how to call them if I use Hungarian…) and a linden tree here, all of them are beautiful, impressive trees but rime makes almost everything super pretty anyway:

We have no snow but the rime falls from the trees so it looks like we do
I enjoy the pretty until I can, the soil already isn’t frozen everywhere, we expect some warmer, sunnier days now… But we will see.
The big pond only freezes when it’s really cold, it only have some ice on it here and there and we have plenty of waterfowl swimming in the freezing water. We have found some new species for us! The variety is way bigger in winter. We spot two black-throated loons last time!
