I stated in another post that I needed help. I don’t know how to track macros or meal plan…like I said I have been looking up recipes and saving them. Do I use common sense and plan a breakfast, lunch, & dinner like I’ve done before starting this? Only make sure it’s all keto.
For breakfast… 3 eggs cooked in butter. 3 pieces of bacon… Coffee with butter, coconut oil, erythritol & heavy cream. This actually is pretty good. I don’t think I’ll have coffee any other way…
I can’t believe how full I get now.
Meal planning and taking macros
Hi Brenda,
I use Cronometer to track my macros. I have only used the free version, and I love it. It is the best one that I have used.
As far as meal planning you have a great start. You may find after a while that you are not hungry for a meal. My biggest advice is to skip that meal and carry on.
I also suggest starting SIMPLE. Pinterest has amazing looking recipes, but honestly, they aren’t necessary or even preferred, IMO. In the beginning, I came up with 2-3 easy to cook/buy/plan suppers that I loved (Cheeseburger salad is still a family fave) and rotated through those until I felt like trying something new. But honestly, delicious meat, tasty veg and a massive dollop of butter and your set!
A word of caution though: as delicious as these Keto Coffees are, watch out it is easy to drink way more fat than anticipated. Also, sweeteners can cause some people issues. Just an FYI so you don’t go out and buy all different kinds only to find out that they create you great problems…not at all from personal experience.
I also vote for cronometer.com for tracking macros… although I only restrict my carb macro. I eat protein and fat until I am full and let my hunger decide what those should be.
