Max carb intake?

I read that ur body will remain in ketosis as long as u stay under 100 net carbs a day. So my question is… Let’s say i hit 40g-60g net carbs on one of my days…maybe it’s a dinner out or something… Will this hugely affect my progress?
I’ve been keeping 20 or below everyday…im just asking for in case of these dinner/ outing days

This is going to vary from person to person. The only answer for you is to try and test. I can’t even eat 30 carbs per day and guarantee ketosis. 100 per day may be possible with very insulin-sensitive people, but not with many.

There’s no definitive answer. You have to experiment to find your own personal tolerances.

Easy way to find out is to eat 100 carbs and test your ketone levels. It’s hard to find a straight answer sometimes because everyone’s body is different. If I have a question like this I usually just try it out and measure my ketone levels. That way I know exactly how my body reacts to it. Like the other day I ate a hand full of a full sugar gummy candy to see what would happen. I measured about an hour later and was still very much in ketosis. Experiment a little and see what your body can handle

I don’t go by the 20g / 40g / 60g / Xg … but rather the percentage of my total caloric intake. Staying below 60g for someone on 1500 kcal/day is entirely different than for someone consuming 3500 kcal/day. Of course, staying below these specific numbers of grams will work for most, it is an individual thing and you need to know how your body responds.
