Macadamia storage

This ^^^^^ Never stay around long enough to go bad. I do keep them is fancy canning jars, but again, never have them long enough to go off on me.

@Msims where do you get those?

(Ernest) #23

Where do you buy them?

#24

Search for bulk macadamias on google. I try to shop around. I bought my last batch from ifsbulk, com for $9.99 a pound, but looks like they are out at the moment. Nuts.com has superior product as well(probably the freshest ).

Whatever you do, don’t buy from Amazon. I’ve only gotten rancid nuts on there in bulk and have had to return.

All nuts and nut flours should be stored in the freezer.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #26

Don’t store me in the freezer! It’s c-c-c-old in there!

Yes, I store macadamia nuts in the freezer. I buy mine from the bulk bin at the grocery store (Ralph’s) but, they usually don’t last very long.

Frozen pecans are delicious.

Try toasting pecans in butter and salt then freezing them! Well, they are good a few minutes out of the oven too!
