Macadamia nuts MmmmMmMmh

(TJ Borden) #21

Yeah…you’re going to need to share that when you figure it out

(Candy Lind) #22

Will do!

Sadly, I do not have a Trader Joe’s anywhere near me. I get my Mac nuts from Costco. $18.99 for 1.5 lbs. I have all ingredients needed…just have to get my hands on some candy molds!

(Ro Sitaram) #24

I’ve done that and they are delish!! Especially when you put some Himalayan sea salt on top.

(TJ Borden) #25

Damn… that’s a great idea. Okay, next time

Costco

18.99 costco for 24 oz

Macadamias are like crack Pringles to me - once you pop, you just can’t stop.

For the folks who say portion control, nope, nada, zilch and zero for me as I am an ‘abstainer’ who just can not moderate (see Gretchen Rubin’s habit book). I just can’t bring them into my home, as I don’t do portion control.

EEK! I didn’t know that. Thanks for the warning! :flushed: :dog:

I’m back to the Mac thread … I shouldn’t be hungry, but I’m jonesing for some Macs. :disappointed_relieved:

I didn’t know that!!! Thanks for the warning!

They’re AWESOME - I did Dark Chocolate Macs and Pecans at Christmas.

That looks a lot easier than what I did at Christmas! They still looked like Macs.

Love these!
Reese Peanut butter cup (just no peanut butter center)

1/2 cup coconut oil (or butter)
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
2-3 tablespoons cocoa powder
2-3 tablespoons sweetner
splash of vanilla
1/4 tsp sea salt

Melt and then blend together till smooth. Place in molds or small muffin pan and freeze. Take out of molds/muffin pans and put in a zip top bag and keep in freezer. Take out and enjoy

@Darlene_Horsley

I’ve been making a version of that with cream cheese in the center for a little more fat.

(Darlene Horsley) #34

Nice! I’ll have to try that.

(Nicole Sawchuk) #35

I made a version of these a few weeks ago and they are deadly!

I have a serious macadamia nut addiction. Its funny that now when I crave a treat, its macadamia nuts…or if I am hankering for something decant, its those peanut butter fat bombs!

(Darlene Horsley) #36

I love macadamia nuts and @Baytowvin chocolate covered ones look delicious!!

(Michelle isaacson) #37

Glad I am not alone with the Macadamias! I ate an entire can for lunch the other day. I could not stop!!! They are scrumptious! Perfect for my Relay Run tomorrow.

(Blessed with butter ) #38

How many nuts are in one oz

(Diane) #39

Depends on your macadamias since they vary in size. Probably somewhere between 10 to 15.

 I subscribe to this feeling as well.
