Yeah, that’s because, as I mentioned, the damage is less and takes longer to build up into a problem. The mitochondria can handle a small amount of glucose, such as from a ketogenic diet. It’s the excessively high-carb diet recommended to prevent heart disease that causes the problems, over time.
I get it occasionally. I’m not on any prescribed medications because I know most of their side effects. No wisdom. My AFib is an electrolyte problem and Low Carb and Carnivore along with overhydration can deplete the body of salts. So, I make sure I have well salted foods and they taste great. Then I take some extra magnesium if I get palpitations.
