Looking for a good savory meatball recipe
I use 1/2 beef 1/pork mince and substitute the breadcrumbs for milled flaxseed. Choose your seasoning but an egg is essential. I find the flaxseed makes for a light fluffy meatball.
I make a meat and spices meatball (no egg or binders) using a combination of lamb and beef, plus lots of spices such as cinnamon, clove, cardamom, coriander, salt and pepper (just go easy on the clove). Serve on a lettuce leaf with cucumber and either yogurt or sour cream with garlic or dill.
I use the brand Mezzetta home made style marinara. It about 2g nc for about half a cup if I remember correctly and it’s about half the price of the RAO’s. I don’t use it a lot but when I want some I usually go on a bender with it for about a week and the net carbs are very forgiving.
