Non-Scale Victory
As many of you know I have an ever growing presence on social media due to the number of podcasts that I’ve been blessed to be a guest on to detail my keto, bodybuilding, and powerlifting at age 51 journeys so I’ve started putting out videos detailing my keto walk along with “other stuff” to encourage others and proliferate this lifestyle.
I posted a video today on Instagram, Facebook and all of my accounts today as usual earlier today and as I got on to do my daily check in with all things Ketovangelist related I saw a notification from a high school friend who hasn’t seen me in person for over 33 years.
He doesn’t get on social media that much so I don’t think that I’ve seen him since I began this journey last October so he knew nothing of my journey.
So as you read the following you will see why this is a NSV

“I just realized as I was seeing your face. Man. You almost look like you did in high school. You were pretty thick there and you didn’t look like the old you. Wow. This is a total compliment brother. You have literally taken years off of you.”

Lastly, my response of course was thank you and that he had made my day but I also let him know that my “blood work” was NOW also almost as good as it was in high school (just got bloodwork back from the VA )
