Liver problems on keto

This. Keto is going to cause the liver to switch over to ketone production. If you(Lide) have a very fatty liver, it will take some time for it to adapt. It will heal itself first. However, I heartily agree with the recommendation to eat some berries, and some cruciferous vegetables. In fact that is how I do Keto. My morning breakfast starts with goat yogurt with a handful of berries usually. Then I sometimes have a red grapefruit - depending on how keto I want to be. Then,. I usually have about 3 eggs - sometimes with sundried tomatoes. Dinner is about a half pound entree rounded out till I’m satiated with asparagus, cabbage, broccoli, brussel sprouts, sometimes green beans or a hempseed topped kale/cabbage salad. It usually is not strong keto, but it gets the job done. I have had the Dr tell me my creatinine was a bit high, but I believe that is because I supplement with creatine in a protein smoothie. Creatine is known to elevate creatinine.

It probably just means that you are taking more creatine than you use up. I ditched creatine, a meat heavy diet has enough, no need to stress the kidneys. But I don’t even know for sure that stressing the kidneys is inherently bad. But it’s waste. Why consume something to produce extra waste?
