Lifting and loving it!

Last month, just for S&G I signed up for ‘Intro Powerlifting’ at the local Y. I’ve messed around with weights a few times, but never for more than a couple of weeks and never with any plan or purpose. Tonight was the final class of this session, and I deadlifted 275lbs!! For an almost 59-yr-old novice, I’m pretty impressed with myself. And… I did it 24 hours fasted.

NICE! Lifting’s great. Got out of it years ago and just started again last year.

What was your starting point?

How long was the class?

Thanks; it was 6 weeks. I did 135lbs (3x5) the first week, but tonight was the first time we tested one rep max. Last week I did 205lbs (1x3).

And I squatted 215 tonight!
