Let me introduce myself

Hi All,
My name is Mel and Im from Sydney Australia. I a newby to keto and have been doing it losely for around 3 weeks. Before that i had been doing IF/EF since then beginning of Jan '19. I got started by searching spotify for Dr Fungs Obesity Code podcast (I’d never listened to a podcast b4) and found it through the 2 Keto Dudes podcast. I had always just dismissed keto as another fad diet but i had done Atkins yrs ago. Anyways I listened to all of the Obesity Code podcast (btw I have read the book twice as well), then thought ok I will listen to these 2 dudes. So I scrolled through and started listening from the beginning and to say im a little addicted to them is an understatement. In the past 3 weeks I have gotten through the first 12 months of podcasts. I have even started trying some of the recipes, my favourite being the cheesy crisps. They were even popular with my non keto family members today, so much so that i didnt think they were going to actually leave me any to eat even tho they had plenty of other things full of carbs to use with the low carb dip. Anyways so 3 weeks into it and Im losing about a kilo per week, Im no longer moody as i was just doing to IF/EF, I used to get headaches everyday at work (Im a bus driver) they have now gone, I have inflammation in my left ankle which doesnt hurt as much any more. I am and will be forever grateful to the 2 keto dudes and Dr Jason Fung for helping to steer me into the right direction. Im now a keto dudette for life.
I look forward to getting to know everyone and reading your journeys.
Much Love Mel.

Hello, Mel! Welcome to the forum, and thanks for introducing yourself.

You should know more than me, then. I’ll be looking forward to seeing you offer helpful advice in the future. :+1:

I personally find keto food to be the best. Honestly I don’t know why I used to eat that other garbage.

That’s great news, Mel. I hope for even more continued health improvements, as you keep eating keto.

Most of us around here are too. It’s LITERALLY changed our lives!

Yep, it’s hard to see me eating any other way, now.

And we you, Mel! (that’s a funny sentence, but I think you get it)

Aw! Right back at ya, Mel!

Great for you !!. Its pretty amazing where keto will take you. As mentioned by others here on this site, as you look back and see what you were told to eat by “the experts” you will think ‘What Was’ going on, why did I eat that crap that I was told was healthy. Congratulations on your great escape from the system !!!
