Lean Body Mass Victory

Just started back at the gym a few weeks ago and they did their initial assessment. I look like a cream puff, but I’m apparently a tank underneath. The trainer said I had the highest lean body mass of anyone he’s seen in the gym. Their scale measured my lean body mass at roughly 212 pounds.

Let’s see what a few dozen workouts do to that number

Very interesting. I wonder how they measured it. I am starting to think that maybe my lean body mass is more than I presumed or cheaper scales measured. Especially with weights training and keto. Hey, let us know how you go. I know @richard mentioned in one podcast how when he lost fat all these muscles appeared…

It was an overpriced bio-impedance scale. Probably not the most accurate scale, but it did cost the gym 12k.

I’ve always figured that unless you are completely sedentary - those of us carrying excess weight have to have some serious muscle under it all in order to simply get around. That is why I have always gotten pretty PO’d at fitness folks that will throw you on a treadmill and suggest that you are out of shape when you start huffing and puffing - but at the same time - you can push weights without the same problem. What I say back now is ‘you get on a treadmill, jogging path, bicycle with an extra 100lbs on your back and then get back to me as to how ‘in shape’ you are’.
Just my morning rant for the day - thanks for listening

Ps congrates on your test results.
