Lastest ver. of cholestrol Code report

I just had a test done NMR, New tool doesn’t seem to have as much detail as the previous one. So thankful for the work that Dave Feldman and Siobhan Huggins have done. Helps me sleep better at night :sleeping_bed:

That looks great to me.

I think it is fine as well. BUT my dr. got a copy and had her office call me to make an appointment to go over the results. Pretty sure it is the 222 that is bothering her, but I also had bone density scan results coming in, and I had a small decrease on that, at 73, of course I had a slight increase. I am in the lower end of osteopenia range. I didn’t want to bother calling before the holiday weekend but I will call over and see what exactly she wants to discuss with me next week.

Congratulations on the test results, and good luck with the doctor.

Here’s an interesting interview Bret Scher recently did with David Feldman:

What was your sdLDL? That’s the one that they should be focusing on more than being 22 over normal on the Total Cholesterol.

On the osteopenia, you prioritizing your protein intake? The 1g/lb of bodyweight while fine for most in most situations as it has built in wiggle room, should be up’d when you’re older and especially if you’re measurable losing bone / muscle mass.

I too was curious about your particle numbers of ldl and sd-ldl, also average ldl size? Looks great to me, very nice numbers showing.

Looking great! What company gave you that? It’s a lot easier to read than what I got.

I had a worse small LDL-P, a better HDL-P, slightly smaller (worse) LDL size, though I was in Pattern A. But I got a terrible LP-IR score (73). It’s the only one I’ve ever taken, though, so I have no basis for comparison.

My pattern has been Pattern A for a while now, and only goes to Pattern B if I fast >4 days.

Edit: I think I’m wrong about the pattern changing when I fast. Last time, it stayed in Pattern A, but got “worse”, just not enough to kick me out of Pattern A. At one time, I was closer to Pattern B and would get kicked into Pattern B with a fast. Though I don’t have many fasts where I got these fancy tests done.

You are certainly better than my numbers. I had to check, but fyi to compare. No HDL size, but HDL-P was only 27.7 for me, so on the low side. Small LDL was 1775, and my ldl-P was too large to measure, but it calculates at somewhere between 3500 and 10000, so quite large - BUT, my ldl size was better at 21.7. My LP-IR was 54, so not too bad, but no where near as good as yours. I would be very happy with your numbers.

I used Labcorp, via OwnYourLabs, Dave & Siobhan’s service. Much cheaper than doing through my dr. office, insurance wouldn’t cover it.
