Know Better Foods

I ordered a sampling of bread type foods from Know Foods. So far I’ve tried the muffins and donuts. They’re both actually really good, very moist. The donut nutrition info is for a half a donut, which is a little shady to me though.

I agree. They should use a more realistic serving size. Like two dozen.

Yea- there’s NO WAY I could ever eat a HALF of a donut! OR banana!!
I like the 2dozen comment Larry -that’s more my speed!! Or I should say WAS my speed. And if no one saw me eat the 2 dozen, they’d never know I did it! LOL!

They did the same thing with the buns, although the numbers weren’t too bad for net carbs. Buns were good though, and felt great having a burger on a bun! I actually ordered delivery and switched out their bun.

They all have had a sweet taste to them by the way, buns, muffins, and donuts.

Need a little assistance. I found the Know Better Double Chocolate cookies on Amazon, which say they are 4g of carbs per cookie. There were no postings of the nutritional label, which should have raised a red flag, but I bought them anyway. Christmas morning sound found them in her stocking, and we read the label.

As you can see 42g Carbs, 12g Fiber, and 28g Sugars. I went to there web site and they said the 28g of Sugars, is actually 28 grams of Allulose. I did some research and it looks like the FDA mandates that Allulose, a nature grown sugar alternative, must be listed as Sugar in the nutrition. We’re a bit skeptical, as we’ve never heard of Allulose. Anyone find additional information, and is it truly low carb?

I just tried their classic waffle, which was delicious, but I think it may have thrown me out of ketosis for the first time since I started testing with my Keto Mojo (around a month - newbie here). I ended up giving all their stuff away to a friend who is much farther along in her keto journey than I am. I know it’s not for sure that it was this product, but I’m taking no chances. Will let you know if my friend has the same reaction.
Bummer. I like waffles, but I like ketosis better!

Know Better Foods was found to be in error with their carb count back in December. They incorrectly reported the net carbs because they failed to count the chocolate chips, which were outsourced to another party to make!
