Kettlebell sport/oly lifter

Hello all! I am loving keto. I actually tried carb cycling when i was doing bikini/figure over 8 years ago. It was hard, i felt i could never do it again. I did get lean but it took me all of 12 weeks. Fastforward to now. Went all in with keto. and who would have thought…i am doing it. I got leaner than my bikini training in less than 3 weeks on keto! My training is different than last time though. I compete in kettlebell sport (yes there is a sport that is about lifting kettlebells wihout breaks for 5 to 10 min) and also am now doing olympic lifting.I love it. But my strength has come down a bit. I am accepting it as i have read this is normal in the beginning. I am starting to feel normal as the first week of keto was rough. But now i am seeing other positives besides leanness. Calmer mood, smoother skin. No afternoom slumps. Just hoping soon my strength returns! Going to give it a chance bc i love the aesthetics i am getting with keto at 42 yrs old!

No there’s a fantastic STEM talk on Podcasts with regard to back’s and how to care for your spine. Take a listen.

https://www.ihmc.us/stemtalk/episode-35/

They talked about kettle bells a lot. And how proper use of them is so beneficial for your spine. Makes me want to go check into them. I’m not an athlete or anything like it. But I’d like a strong spine.

yes proper kb use is important. i compete in it and have never had problems with my back. With kettlebell sport, technique is key. What i did have problems with was my endurance during a 10 min set.

To get you through the transition, you can also take exogenous ketones. You absolutely don’t need them for ketosis, but to improve performance, especially while your body is still getting adapted, they’re great. Perfect Ketones is a trusted brand. There are others, like Pruvit, that are multi-level marketing companies.
