Ketogenic on Gastropod podcast

On average, Gastropod is a very good podcast about science, history and food. But this episode is so deceiving : https://gastropod.com/weve-lost-diet-episode-2/

How can we change the “specialist” the media refer to ? I think that all the “specialist” are anti LCHF and don’t understand keto but they still talk about !?

Just listened to it. So frustrating. It’s funny how early on they cite the root cause of obesity and related issues to the availability of sugar and processed foods, but then resist that the way to fix is to just eliminate sugar and processed foods.

Yeah ! Totally.
But the most frustrating is the way the “specialist” talk about Ketogenic diet as a way to “cannibalize” your own protein and may be harmful. Just the word is wrong and lead to a negative impression.
I really don’t understand where the media find their “specialist”.

She was the typical dietitian that can’t acknowledge the keto diet as being healthy because it would negate the last 25 years of her career.

Hey, in general I like this podcast too. I was disappointed in how they represented keto, so I emailed them about Ketofest. In my opinion it might make a good crossover episode since the science and the food are all in one spot. contact@gastropod.com is the email address and see if we can get them to cover Ketofest and introduce keto to some new people and prove the diet is not boring.
