KetoFest 2017 - New London, Ct USA

I’m wondering about th[quote=“betsy.rome, post:76, topic:10682”]
I would imagine the schedule will be the last thing to post, but locations might help attendees figure out where we’re going to be, and if it’s walking distance, etc. Some might not be so mobile.

I’m wondering about this too.

(Richard Morris) #84

We’re building a book that goes in the conference pack with maps and all the restaurants, all their keto meal offerings, where the bike store is (they will give anyone with a ketofest badge a bike free in exchange for a credit card as security). We are still working on the graphics … but let’s see what I can come up with.

You’ll probably recognize this

it’s the parade ground where Social Saturday will be held

This is the Guarde Arts center where Science Sunday will be

This is the Spark Makerspace where the cooking lessons will be happening

@Richard or @carl - can you please email me re: KetoFest ticket. A member is transferring her ticket to me. betsy.rome@gmail.com

(Patty W) #86

Please forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere, but has information been sent out for the Keto fest VIP party on Friday night? Start time, directions, etc…

(Richard Morris) #87

Yes the people who signed up for the VIP party should have received an email with details of where the party is, where to park, etc.

I checked @PattyW you are definitely on the list. Check to see if the ticket and the emails aren’t in your spam folder.

Hey @Francois_Picanza,

I will drive from Mascouche to New London on Friday morning  Coming with my wife and kids + a friend of my son  We’ve been Keto for more than a year now.

We should get in touch as french ressources here in Quebec are scarce… to say the least.

(John Somsky aka KetoGrinder) #89

I’m in Cleveland tonight, wandering toward New London. I’m looking forward to Ketofest!!

(Francois Picanza) #90

Hi Francis,
I also live in Mascouche.
I have been promoting the keto lifestyle to a handful of people in the past year. Sadly only two of them have stuck to it. Having more information in French might have helped more of them stick around. Maybe we need to start a french version of 2 keto dudes. I used to do boxing podcasts years ago (LaZoneDeBoxe.com) but gave it up for lack of time a few years ago.
Francois

(Allan Misner) #91

@Richard, I didn’t get my VIP tickets. Any advice?

Love, calm and Keto on

We had a great time, and it seemed like s big success all the way around. Thanks to the Dudes, plus all the other people why made it happen.

(John Somsky aka KetoGrinder) #95

Totally agree. It was a great weekend. I can’t wait to see how the conference evolves over the next several years.

(Rita) #96

I have really enjoyed hearing about the Ketofest. Thanks to the attendees who have reported back! I also enjoyed the pictures!

#97

I also enjoyed Ketofest there was a lot of hard work behind the scenes to pull this off. Thank you to Carl and Richard and everyone else who busted their butts to make it a success!

(brian) #98

thanks for a great event!

(betsy.rome) #99

I had an amazing time at KetoFest! I was only able to attend for Sunday. From my point of view as an attendee, things went very smoothly. The guest speakers were compelling and generally held my attention - hope there will be video posts on YouTube from the talks. I got to meet some of my heroes, @carl @richard @Brenda, Dr. Eric Westman, etc.; met some sista’ members of the Kickarse Keto Bitches FB group, and made some new keto friends. I have a bag o’swag samples of keto foods, and bought some croutons & low-carb bagels from the vendor.

A big HATS OFF to all the staff, the founders, the volunteers and the donors who made KETOFEST happen. Salute!

(Allan Misner) #100

Thanks to @carl, @richard and all the staff for putting on a great event. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting many of you guys and gals. For those that came out for the fitness classes, I hope the DOMS have subsided and that you’re continuing to include physical training in your lives.

One great take away from the event… My non-keto wife has been convinced to try keto and she is going at it full bore. She woke up this morning researching ketosis and looking up recipes and has created a Facebook Group to share what she is learning with friends and family.

Thank all of you for helping me get her on this path.

(Carl Franklin) #101

Outstanding!!!

(Warren) #102

Thank you @Carl_Franklin, @richard and the whole keto dudes staff for the great event! Was totally worth the 24 hour drive ;0) Learned a lot, made new friends, and learned some very cool “RECIPES”. Hope this will be the first of many such events.
