Keto vs. Keto cycling for performance

Wow, thought this was a great episode today. In one study, they looked at the results of someone on keto vs. someone that is keto during the week and “carbed up” on the weekend.

The cyclical carb up group dropped out of ketosis (duh) and it took until Friday to get back. They also lost more muscle mass as a result. Ketone only group only dropped fat. So… you cannot have the best of both worlds (glycogen to beef up your muscles and ketones to burn fat).

There is one and only BEST world and that’s keto!!! Woo Woo!! :bacon: :bacon: :bacon:

This is a very interesting topic and I will post something in a sec that is similar to this. Brian W is very anti carb cycling for exercise but cthen you see what Peter Defty says and Carbs just before a big event is beneficial.

Again though you have to do whats best for you. I this I listened to it and this was about carb cycling even in deep training and no way that is beneficial.
