The maintenance level is not just carbs, although many people can increase their carbs & still remain in ketosis. When I reach my goal (maybe that should be “if”, because I’m a chronic overeater and wonder if I’ll ever gain the control to get there), I will still stay on the low end for carbs, because they give me cravings if I eat too many - even the “good” ones. Maintenance for me will be the correct balance of macros to stay within 5 pounds of my goal. I will still eat fat for satiety. You can bet your sweet bippy I will never go back to consuming sugar and grain!
