Keto: regardless of where you stand

What’s BG?

(Empress of the Unexpected) #51

Beyond that - if admins let him stay, I’m gone. I joined in April 2018, but I think this has gotten out of hand since the Facebook days. We have too many creeps.

So, what is going on that would spike your BG to 160 on an English muffin and milk? Are you active? How much exercise do you get daily?

(Empress of the Unexpected) #55

So go away to a skinny person’s site,

#56

I’m not entirely convinced that you are concerned with the happiness of these people

(Empress of the Unexpected) #60

I like men with a little bit of meat on their bones.

(Empress of the Unexpected) #61

He’s not 18!

#63

Don’t you go anywhere though

OK, so I’ve reported this, not particularly because I care about being attacked - I don’t, I’ve had FAR worse from people FAR better at it - but because I keep getting told “don’t react, let the admins deal with it.” Well, here’s the chance right here in this thread.

I’ve posted mine here in many places! Six years ago I did a 1/2 Ironman, I’ve ridden many century cycle rides and ran 1/2 marathons. All prior to keto. I had many life stresses convene at the same time and put on weight. I went back to normal training and tore my right quad for two months straight. I rehabbed, discovered keto, had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee. About 16 months later my knee is significantly recovered. I hope to be able to run again. I lost about 75lbs eating keto, got sloppy and put 25 back on. They’ll all come off and then some. How about you? If you’re normal and can eat the SAD diet and get along fine why are you on a keto forum telling people not to eat keto. What are your stats and what really drew you here?

Urgh. I don’t particularly want to wade in on any kind of argument but this morning I happened to be listening to this Dudes podcast:

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/2-keto-dudes/id1086736152?mt=2&i=1000379501527

And from 45:08 - 46:27 they state the intention/intended audience of this forum, so I thought that could be helpful.

(matt ) #69

I’m closing this. And a few of you are working on getting walked out. Think about what you post.

I don’t need any PM’s about this so save your time.

64% of Americans over 45 have glucose control problems according to the CDC. That makes this problem not only a personal health challenge to the majority, but a financial health challenge to the minority who are going to have to fund it from increasing insurance premiums or tax dollars.

The ketogenic forums was built to support people trying to find a way to avoid a diabetic future, weight loss is just a minor side effect compared with saving your toes/kidneys/lives.

We couldn’t care less, if you post controversial opinions, as long as you show people who you don’t agree with respect.

(Richard Morris) #72

We’re doing that. Thanks for flagging posts - that helps us get to things quickly.

Everyone needs to respect other posters even/especially those they disagree with and this forum will be just fine.

Flag creeps and we’ll look after it
