Keto History: Primary Sources

(Andrew Anderson) #1

I was a history major and enjoy primary source research tremendously. After listing to Keto lectures and podcasts I decided to seek out Keto documents. My first find is the article from Stefansson in Harpers Weekly. I know most of you are familiar with his story. He lived with Eskimos for years and wrote of his Keto experience. Read in his own words. You will hear him eloquently describe Keto adaption, flu, benefits, and relapses before there were terms. He also describes protests from friends, family and medical professionals. He compares addiction to bread too drug use. I could copy and paste loads of quotes, but I would rather let you enjoy and find all the nuggets yourself. It is a long read but worth it!
