Keto for seniors

#1

I’m 68 years old and on statin and GIRD drugs. Is it too late for me to do kefo?

No

Nope! Not at all.

Never too late. Read through this forum and see all the improvements people of all ages have had on Keto.

I’M 69., doing keto and exercise for 3 months and intend to keep doing them.

67 and on keto the last four months. Lost 30+ pounds so far. Never too old to feel better!

I’m 62, on a statin after a heart attack 4 years ago, and in the best shape I’ve been since my 20s. Since going keto I am lighter than my hiighschool weight, and very active. I just got bAck from driving a fire truck on a call. Never too old.

Don’t wait another day! You stand to regain your health! I started with terrible gerd, was on hypertension meds and a bunch of other health complaints. All gone!! No more meds. I feel great and have since starting almost 9 yrs. ago.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #9

I’m 62, a year on keto, lost sixty pounds and all my bloodwork came back normal. I have more energy and less joint pain than I’ve had in years. Keto on! :bacon:

Thanks for the encouragement; I’ll move forward with keto. Any suggestions on how to discontinue the proton pump inhibitors. I’ve tried cold turkey, but the rebound heartburn pain was unbearable.

I went cold turkey. It was unpleasant to say the least but have had no issues since. Maybe a digestive enzymes?

#12

Betaine HCl + pepsin?

(Cathy) #13

I don’t know what that is. I was referring to o.t.c. preparation called digestive enzymes.
