Im part of a low carb/keto FB group in my area and a day or 2 ago a general manager of a restaurant in the town I live in mentioned that they were considering putting together a keto menu. This is a place that my family likes to go to but more for the atmosphere than the food or drink (neither my husband or I drink beyond the occasional glass of wine maybe once every other month). Its a beach bar (the nearest beach is a 4ish hour drive away) with sand and boat bars and areas for kids to play. Their menu is terrible though. Everything battered and fried so Im looking forward to seeing what their keto menu will look like.
Keto demand is blowing up!
I often find myself wishing I could pick up a delicious perfectly cooked ribeye from a fast food or grocery store during the workday. You can get burgers everywhere, but not a steak!
I was thinking the same thing. My Kroger peanut butter (only peanuts and salt) would be so perfect if individually packaged. I considered putting spoonfuls into baggies. Or condiment cups. I needed some individual PB servings a few weeks ago and ended up buying Almond butter with palm oil. Because it seemed better than Jif âNaturalâ
I need the individual packets because itâs the only way I donât over eat it.
Iâm not sure pre-portioning it myself would be enough. I can see myself starting off scooping measured amounts into baggies only to finish off the last 1/3 of the jar while dividing it up.
I have a bit of a peanut butter problem.
Good thing youâre not down here with Mayverâs dark-roasted peanut butter, thenâŚ
Itâs awesome, but especially awesome on a slice of Brie
I do miss it on hot toast (seed bread) with melted butter, though, but thatâs life.
Good point. I am very happy on Keto! But am experimenting with a bit more carbs. Maybe, somedayâŚ
13/100 carbs, so itâs not too bad when you have very small amounts. (OK, so for a few weeks I was just eating it off the knife. Weâre past that nowâŚ)
Leave it to the big companies to cash in on it. We should protest
