Good question. I have a mom of a type 1 at school looking for a supportive forum.

Dr. Troy Stapleton’s lectures on the Low Carb Down Under YouTube channel tell of his experience of developing Type I diabetes at age 40. He adopted the ketogenic way of eating after discovering that following the advice of the Australian Diabetic Association made him sicker.

EDIT: There is also a diabetes organization in the UK that provides support to anyone with any type of diabetes, and they encourage a LCHF/keto way of eating.

Eww, my joints react to 2/3 of the things on his list for eating.

Maybe not for you then…

Yeah, he said “hotdogs” for breakfast, soy, artificial sweeteners, crackers and eating 3 times a day. Thanks for the tip though, lots of people talk about it, interesting to read even if not into that.
