Thomas does a great job of explaining how to get to an optimum Ketone level.
This is a point that comes up a lot with people just starting and wondering if they are in Ketosis, so everyone is encouraged to please give this a listen. He gives good advice find if your ketone levels are low/high or if you are having trouble adjusting.
In summary, UP YOUR FAT ratio, and understand when and how you measure your ketones have a huge effect on number you will see.
For those asking about ratios, it is the ratio carbs, protein and fat for the total number of Calories you are eating. Remember veggies have all three, so this is not a thing you can wing, or guess. Enter what you eat into an app like MyFitnessPal, and slowly increase your total calories in the right ratio until you are full, and stay full with no urges to cheat or snack. Do that for a good six weeks, and avoid your scale until you are fully adapted.
Weight loss AND gain of +/- 10 lbs at this stage is NORMAL. That is almost 100% water.
Keep this in mind, and Keep Calm and Keto On. The good stuff is to come.
