Just finished my first 20 hour fast

I started keto in September of 2017, did great until the holidays started rolling around, i just went low carb and managed to maintain my weight but I kept calling it a stall. I straightened back up, cut out those fake sugar treats and low carb tortillas and felt so good and full almost immediately went back into ketosis and decided to fast yesterday. my last meal was at 1pm yesterday and I didn’t eat again until this morning at 10am. It wasn’t hard but i did start feeling my tummy rumble at 930am.

My concern was what to eat after a fast? I ate 2 servings of liver and onions, is that too heavy for after a fast or ok because it was a short fast? I also want to start a fast again, at 1pm. When does my digestive system stop working after my last meal. should I eat at 1230 even if i don’t feel hungry to carry me over until tomorrow or just wait it out and see if I can do 24 hours now. I feel stuffed after that meal and a cup of coffee with hwc,

can i drink black coffee without anything during the fast? What can I have besides water? I did have black coffee this morning and was worried i might start my digestive system.

Broke my 4 day fast with 3 pounds of raw steak last night, I think 2 servings is just fine for 24 hours.

If I go 20 hours without eating, I don’t even think about it. I just eat. My guts are still in full gear.

Once I go 3 or more days and I’m empty, then I’m a little more careful. Some foods tend to race through me at that point.

I think that’s why I went for second helpings! I didn’t want to be hungry.

does anyone know when the digestive system stops after the last meal or does it vary? I thought the coffee would help kick it into high gear and it would stop sooner than the expected 8-9 hours after the liver

I had the liver and onions and haven’t felt hungry so I think 24 hours will be easier. Is this just intermittent fasting that I am doing? I read fasting isn’t good for women so maybe I should keep it minimal to around 24 hours? I did lose 3 pounds since yesterday but I was also stalled for a couple of months.
