Sorry to hear about your cat, but 21? That’s an amazingly long lived cat! Did you feed him or her anything special?

Hi all,

I’ve decided to try to be consistent with a 2mad schedule. A big, late-ish breakfast and dinner.

I like to exercise in the mornings, and I’m always hungry soon afterwards, so I figured I definitely need breakfast on the days I exercise (which is almost every day.) The big late breakfast hangs in for many hours. In an ideal scenario, I would then have lunch/dinner about 3 or 4 PM, but I like to eat dinner with my family, so I want to wait until 5:30 pm or so. I have been snacking with beef sticks or pork rinds, not ideal. I’m going to see if I can train my body to push through and then have that second big meal at 5:30 PM.

This morning’s breakfast was at 10 am. I had a 1/3 pound hamburger, three slices of bacon, and two eggs, all fried up in beef suet. If that doesn’t hang in until five, I don’t know what will. :grinning:

I have 2 exercise sessions per day. It’s quite a challenge scheduling the workouts and meals around each other. I need to wait 3 hours after a meal so I’m not exercising on a full stomach. Then, after I exercise, it’s time to eat again! Or time to do something else.

Oh, I definitely get pleasure out of the carnivore food I eat now, but I need to be truly hungry to enjoy it.

This morning, my daughter mentioned that she had finished up some chicken breast last night that way dry and tough. She made the statement, “Desperate times call for desperate measures.” I said, “Isn’t it amazing what tastes good to us when we’re really hungry?”

She completely agreed. :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s important to find our sweet spot with timing
I eat after training too but I can’t do anything in the morning except walking so I start with a late lunch even then. It’s good as I hardly can have more than 3-5 hours between meals on the same day… The size of my meal matters but not so much. If it’s not enough for 24 hours, I will get hungry a few hours later.
So I last around 3-5 hours after 3 and 12 eggs alike if I manage to get satiated with the meal (I don’t eat 12 eggs, I add meat and probably dairy too, it’s just for simplicity). But a 20+ eggs worth meal, that’s OMAD (and happens in the afternoon, probably in the evening as I can’t eat this much before).

Apropos eggs. I eat very few eggs lately. 6.2 today and it was an unusually eggy day.

I can’t enjoy food when very hungry, it was annoying to me before fat adaptation when I often was very hungry (out of the blue). I can’t be very hungry without carbs or stopping eating when I am hungry.
I can enjoy my food without hunger, even after satiation but it depends on the food item… (But I still don’t have a good question about being hungry… If I totally doesn’t want meat or eggs, it doesn’t mean I am not hungry and need food very much. If I am satiated, it doesn’t mean I can’t eat tuna and I don’t like tuna so I almost never can eat it.)

But being a tiny bit hungry is the best! (But if I sit down to eat, I typically get that. My body is a hedonist too. And it doesn’t always helpful.)

(At least my comments are smaller.)

Quick ZeroCarb/Carnivore Question:

What is you MBTI type (if you know it) ?

(Edith) #108

MBTI? What is this?

#109

Myers Briggs if you ever took the test (online or elsewhere) and happened to remember.

I just thought it would be fun to see if there was a commonality amongst those who take the Carnivore leap.

#110

Love that.

ya know the long term veterans always say that, if you are wandering around wondering if you are hungry, put chicken, burger, any meat at all in front of you and if truly hungry, ya are gonna eat it

I so love your DD is on board! My 15 yr old is kinda on a low carb version of life, getting smarter in her choices thru the years. So I have hope she will be one of those just smart enough to ‘watch’ those carbs cause she seems very good at it now. Hey if she comes away in life with that knowledge it is better than a SAD menu any old day.

@Ellacosew, I don’t know on it. I’ve heard about it and all a little but never went further into finding out explanations on it and all.

based on personality or something like that?
