I’ve seemed to have hit a plateau in my keto diet. I can honestly say that I stick to the diet 6 out of the 7 days per week but I seemed to be stuck at my current weight loss. I haven’t done much exercising so I’m sure it’s not muscle growth that has the scales not moving. I even do IF 2-3 times a week. I thought it may be because I have a drink or two Fridays but even my alcohol consumption is mixed with club soda or water with lemon. This week, I didn’t drink anything and still saw no results. Could it be possible that I’m consuming too much protein? Do I need to implement more cardio? I’ve done low-carb on a consistent basis for the past few years. Is it possible that my body has adjusted and doesn’t respond anymore?
I've hit a plateau
well a little more history/info might be helpful, of everything you mentioned to my knowledge all of them or any one of them could be causing issues with weight stalling. Cardio in of itself will not really help much with weight issues but it can’t hurt. In my experience LISS seems to work the best or targeting your heart rate based on age. Some machines may call this fat burning if you have that option.(I don’t I just use a cheap fitbit ) I am 44 and mostly active so N=1 in this case. I keep my heart rate around 136 bpm, and that seems to really make me feel good and I can keep going. Richard mentioned this in one of the early podcasts after I used it I really liked it.
Do you think you are fat adapted? its hard to get that way if you are only cycling keto from my understanding esp with out any exercise.
Yes you may need to change things up some its possible, I hit a stall and started to play with fat, protien, timing and fasting.
