Is there a threshold to whats considered safe amounts of organ meat?

I was at the butcher tonight and he cautioned me about eating too much liver and kidneys. I haven’t been able to find anything that details what amounts exceed safe limits. Can anyone help me out with that?

But not really old science I grew up eating a lot of liver, kidneys, tongue, and heart. Not that I am REALLY old, oh, but maybe I am, though I am feeling younger each day now.

I️ did ask and he said that the organs are filters that retain the toxins that are removed from the animals blood and that while they are nutritious they can be over consumed and pose a potential hazard when eaten frequently.
