So last night I had my daughter’s birthday dinner and she wanted Asian food- very specific dishes from specific places. My husband and I ate roast duck, roasted pork belly, Chinese broccoli- all fine. But I also ate two chicken skewers with peanut sauce (I’d IF 18:6 that day, don’t judge me!) and noticed while eating the second one ( okay, it was the first one…like I said don’t judge me ) the chicken MAY have been coated in rice flour before grilling- it had a sort of light crust. I had assumed small amounts of sugar in the sauces and done no carbs except the veg that day.
About an hour after dinner I developed a really bad headache- it’s still with me 10hrs later. Won’t budge. I feel a little nauseous and just all round crappy.
The thing is the headache is very much the same as one I had after a dinner where I planned to cheat, and ate paella at a friend’s house. That night I only ate Keto friendly except about a couple of tablespoons of the rice.
So I’m wondering, either I’m super sensitive and dive straight back to Keto flu with only minor aberrations to my WOE…OR have I developed some sensitivity to refined carbs?
I am hating this headache- not normally a headache person. Has anyone else ever had this kind of experience? And if so, what did you do apart from KCKO?
